Job Overview

A highly skilled technical leader and subject matter expert is needed to architect, design, and deliver enterprise-scale systems. This role involves leading the architecture, design, and end-to-end development of complex distributed systems and microservices.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-scale Java applications, with expertise in the Spring ecosystem. They will also be experienced in building and managing microservice architectures, as well as database design, data modeling, and performance tuning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the architecture, design, and end-to-end development of complex distributed systems and microservices.
  • Define, implement, and uphold coding standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices across teams.
  • Act as the technical authority for projects, providing strategic guidance and resolving critical technical challenges.
  • Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers, fostering knowledge sharing, technical growth, and excellence.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-scale Java applications.
  • Expert-level proficiency in the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, etc.).
  • Proven experience building and managing microservice architectures.
  • Strong expertise in database design, data modeling, and performance tuning across SQL and NoSQL systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and mentor engineering teams.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native architecture (preferably AWS) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Desirable Qualifications
  • AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect certification.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka).
  • Active contributions to open-source projects or a public portfolio (GitHub, etc.).
