
Senior Construction Manager

The Project Control Specialist oversees and manages project control activities, coordinating with commercial, contracts, technical services, engineering and design, and project management teams.
Responsibilities:
- Updates and distributes relevant engineering documents to ensure reference availability.
- Analyzes project costs and trends, developing forecasts for the project manager.
- Recommends corrective actions to prevent expenses exceeding budget.
- Ensures cost-control systems are implemented to maintain actual expenditure within approved limits.
- Reviews additional works for conformity with contract and negotiates unit rates in coordination with contracts administrators.
- Verifies quantity take-off accuracy for project progress billing.
- Monitors submitted progress billings and their status.
- Communicates project construction limits, boundaries, and survey measurements to the construction team.
- Reviews project look-ahead and impacted schedules for accuracy.
- Provides input for progress reports and flags areas of concern relative to schedule to site management.
- Makes man-hour, production, and progress information available to evaluate project performance.
- Monitors scope changes, trends, and variances affecting on-schedule construction work accomplishment.
- Participates in coordination and staff meetings to address or raise engineering concerns.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and construction industry standards.
- Expertise in project control software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
- A background in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
