
Senior Sales Tax Consultant

This role is responsible for managing changes to existing client accounts, communicating effectively with clients, and ensuring timely completion of projects.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. They will also be able to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Key responsibilities include analyzing various economic factors to determine where existing clients have changes in their sales tax nexus obligations on an annual basis. They will also update and test tax collection settings on sales platforms to ensure clients are collecting sales tax on their new permit start or end dates.
Required skills include high levels of organization, time management, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual who is able to take initiative and work independently, while also being a team player who can contribute to the success of the company.
Close collaboration with the Onboarding Team is essential to identify and implement improvements to project workflow for existing clients, ensuring a hassle-free and enjoyable experience for clients while minimizing risk for both clients and the company.
Annual performance targets include:
- 95% of existing clients completing their annual nexus review within 365 days of their last review.
- Managing 70 existing clients, finalizing 2-4 nexus reviews per month, and 20-25 existing permit projects and offboarding projects per month.
- Completing 3 hours per quarter in work-related education or training.
- Attaining at least an 80% completion rate for quarterly rocks throughout the year.
