Payroll Tax Specialist Opportunity

Seeking a skilled Payroll Tax Analyst to provide tax support to clients in areas of tax compliance, payroll tax submissions, W2/YE balancing and client communication.

The role will serve as liaison for client inquiries regarding employee level payroll and tax filing. Responsibilities include responding to customer inquiries via CRM tool, assessing customer health using defined process and ensuring accuracy of employee tax payroll through thorough audits.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years experience in payroll tax, human resources or payroll administration in large, high-volume multi-state environment. A bachelor's degree in business, tax, human resources or equivalent experience is desired. FPC or CPP certification required or commitment to obtain within two years of employment.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Resolve customer inquiries via CRM tool.
  • Assess customer health using team-defined process.
  • Employee Tax Payroll Accuracy: Review payroll commits to ensure employees are taxed appropriately.
  • Payroll Tax Adjustments: Partner with customers and internal payroll teams to process accurate adjustments.
  • Monthly Wage X Rate Audit: Conduct regular audits to verify customers' wages and rates are accurate.
  • Pre-funding Requests: Assist customers with timely pre-funding requests for stock transactions.
  • Monthly W-4 Form Exemptions: Review W-4 Form exemptions monthly to perform reasonability checks for customers' employees.
  • Tax Compliance Changes: Stay up-to-date on tax changes and work with customers to align.
  • Quarterly Year-End Balancing: Perform quarterly and year-end audits to balance customers' and employees' taxes.
  • Tax Code Fallouts: Review tax code fallouts weekly and reconcile any withheld deposits.
  • Amendment Requests: Process amendments promptly with customers and internal partners.
