Senior Sales Tax Specialist

This is a full-time Sales Tax Accountant position focused on managing sales tax filings, client communications, and process improvements for multiple clients. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as part of a remote team.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and submit accurate and formatted sales tax filings; ensure timely submissions.
- Monitor tax collection variances; identify issues and resolve them with clients in a professional manner.
- Assist with time-sensitive issues, including notices from state tax authorities.
- Update internal documentation, workflows, and processes to improve filing and account management tools.
- Serve as primary point of contact for assigned clients; maintain consistent communication regarding issues, filings, projects, or requests.
- 2+ Years of Accounting or Audit Experience: foundational experience in accounting or auditing to support duties.
- Multi-Client Management: ability to manage multiple clients with organized prioritization.
- Excel/Google Sheets Expertise: strong spreadsheet skills for data analysis and insights.
- Interpersonal Skills: detail-oriented, strong data analysis, excellent time management, ability to multi-task, team player, follows processes yet can think creatively, eager to learn, and effective communicator in English.
- US Tax Knowledge and/or CPA certification is a plus; training available if needed.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a remote team.
