Claims Coordinator Job Description

The Claims Coordinator role involves ensuring accurate information is recorded in the database and providing support to crew members in processing and validating medical claims.

  • Provide guidance to crew on filing a claim
  • Examine claim forms and records for valuation coverage and proper filing
  • Prepare claim forms and relevant documents for completeness
  • Coordinate with crew for additional details or supporting documents as required
  • Record claims information into the database
  • Coordinate validated claims with clients for billing
  • Respond to crew inquiries about claim status professionally and follow up on pending claims
  • Identify client service improvement opportunities and collaborate with unit supervisors to resolve claims-related issues
Responsibilities Include:

Monitoring medical cases, sending medical updates to principals/owners, and coordinating with local P&I Correspondents.
