Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned accounting professional to join our team as a Fund Administrator. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and controlling general ledgers and sub-ledgers, preparing and reviewing financial statements, footnotes, and partner capital statements.

You will also be responsible for preparing and reviewing limited partner and general partner allocations, trial balances, and work papers. Additionally, you will review capital activity related to funds, including capital calls, distributions, rebalances, and transfers.

Furthermore, you will prepare and review fee calculations, including management fees, admin fees, waterfall clawback, and carried interest calculations. You will also manage and monitor client deliverables, overall responsibility for client relationships and meetings.

Interacting with senior management and managing overall relationships for multiple clients, providing technical accounting/industry knowledge to clients is also key in this role.

Key Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA).
  • Minimum 8+ years' experience in accounting for the financial services sector, particularly Private Equity, Asset Management, or Fund Administration.
  • Skilled in negotiation, business planning, budgeting, margin analysis, rating agency relations, and technical accounting.
  • Managing skills with experience in managing and/or leading staff for 3+ years.
  • Strong knowledge of waterfall structures, modeling, and calculations.
  • Highly successful record of delivering large-scale business/technology reengineering initiatives in private equity, hedge funds, and fund of funds businesses.
  • Some knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and other comprehensive basis of accounting.
  • Experience in reviewing and preparing general ledgers and financial statements.
  • Strong leadership skills and supervisory experience of other professionals.
  • Project management skills with attention to detail and proven ability to multi-task.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Excel).
