Senior Accountant Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our global finance team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for performing end-to-end General Ledger Accounting, partnering with the Finance Controller for ASC 606 recording and commission expense reporting, designing and rolling out processes for capitalizing software development costs under ASC 350, preparing and presenting financial reports for senior leadership, leading projects requiring technical accounting research, GAAP compliance, and memo preparation, identifying and implementing process and system improvements, participating in software implementations, process upgrades, and cross-training initiatives, and taking ownership of special projects, ad-hoc reports, and general accounting duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • General Ledger Accounting: Perform end-to-end General Ledger Accounting, including financial statement preparation, account reconciliation, and journal entries.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports for senior leadership, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process and system improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Technical Accounting: Partner with the Finance Controller for ASC 606 recording and commission expense reporting, design and roll out processes for capitalizing software development costs under ASC 350, and lead projects requiring technical accounting research, GAAP compliance, and memo preparation.
Requirements:
  • Education: CPA with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Experience: 8+ years of progressive accounting and controllership experience, with at least 2 years working with U.S. clients (insurance and tech company experience is a plus).
  • Skills: Strong exposure to ASC 606, QuickBooks, Bill.com, and Credit Card transaction experience, excellent communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills, ability to work independently while acting with integrity and professionalism.
