Dental Claims Specialist Role

As a key member of our team, the Dental Claims Specialist will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service to our customers by managing and processing claims, resolving issues, and providing support while upholding quality and integrity.

  • The Dental Claims Specialist will be responsible for following up on outstanding insurance claims, ensuring all follow-ups are properly documented and communicated.
  • Claims will be sent out to insurance companies along with any necessary attachments.
  • The specialist will determine denial validity and address them accordingly.
  • Monthly OI reports will be generated and completed.
  • Claims will be resubmitted and reprocessed, including grievances and appeals.
  • Rejected claims will be cleared on a weekly basis.
  • The office tracker will be updated with all payments posted and addressed rejected claims.
  • All assigned follow-ups will be completed.
  • EFT reports will be generated and EOBs retrieved from insurance portals for posting.
  • Insurance payments will be posted according to office preference and EOBs uploaded.
  • Insurance process updates/issues will be identified and communicated to the team.
  • Professionalism is expected at all times, adhering to work ethics and schedule.
Key Requirements
  • A strong command of verbal and written English and interpersonal skills is required.
  • A background in dental insurance or collections industries is necessary.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on collections experience is needed.
  • The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as this is a remote position.
  • Outstanding organizational, time management, and follow-up skills are essential.
