Healthcare Claims Specialist

This is a role that plays a vital part in the healthcare system by ensuring timely and accurate submission of claims to insurance companies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing data from medical coders, verifying patient coverage, reviewing denied claims, and providing assistance with billing inquiries.

  • Process inbound and outbound calls regarding patient inquiries, appointments, and data verification
  • Maintain exceptional customer service skills
  • Assist with denials and follow-ups
  • Correct denial claims and resubmit for payment
  • Submit electronic and paper claims to primary, secondary, and third-party insurance companies
  • Record and verify explanation of benefits
  • Provide administrative support including data entry, verification, follow-ups, and authorizations
Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should possess excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Experience in customer service, preferably in Insurance Billing, is highly desirable. You must also have strong attention to detail, impartiality, high organization, and computer literacy.

  • HIPAA Certification is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
System Requirements:

To perform this job, you will need an Intel Core i5-5000 (5th Gen or higher) or AMD Ryzen 5 or higher processor, 8 GB RAM, Windows 10/11 64-bit or macOS Ventura operating system, a USB-type headset with noise-cancelling feature, and a camera capable of clear and crisp video output.

Work Environment:
