**Job Description**

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Roller Mill Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating roller mills, sifters, and related equipment according to standard operating procedures to process wheat into flour.

  • You will adjust settings and make necessary changes based on the type of grain being milled, ensuring optimal production levels.
  • Regularly inspect and maintain roller mills and other milling equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Identify any defects within milling machinery and perform repairs or escalate to maintenance personnel as needed.
  • Monitor the milling process centerlines, including feed rate, roll pressure, and other critical parameters, adjusting the process flow to maximize efficiency.

Responsibilities (continued)

  • Observe the DDS and other daily plan activities to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement.
  • Meet regularly with coaches, share observations, and identify help needed.
  • Actively engage with other coaches and leaders to identify and eliminate critical barriers to progress.
  • Emphasize the implementation of preventative countermeasures to address losses.
  • Ensure conformance to quality parameters of flour, performing tests, reporting discrepancies, and making adjustments as needed.
  • Responsible for checking the quality parameters of flour in accordance with SPPS standards.
  • Observe applicable safety and GMP standards.
  • Perform all procedures, guidelines, and work instructions for operation and maintenance-related processes accordingly.
  • Dispose of waste properly according to guidelines.
  • Responsible for proper turnover to the incoming equipment owner.
  • Start the line for next shift operation.
  • Summarize the day's operation and maintenance for consolidation of overall production output and machine activities.
  • Assist in training new operators and maintain knowledge of best practices for roller mill operation and milling techniques.
**Requirements**
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical or Vocational course (e.g., Electro Mechanical Technology, Mechanical Technology, Electrical/Electronic Technology, Mechatronics, etc.).
  • Experienced in Production Operations (Mechanical/Electrical) and capable of performing physically demanding roles.
  • Technically and analytically adept, with strong problem-solving skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proficient in computer operations and familiar with various production and operational systems.
  • Trained in Lean Management, Food Safety, and Workplace Safety practices (preferred qualifications).
  • Excellent communication skills in both oral and written formats.
