About the role

SemCalaca Power Corporation is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Control Technician to join our team in Calaca, Batangas. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of various instrumentation and control systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability of our critical operations.

What you'll be doing

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of instrumentation and control equipment, including transmitters, controllers, analysers, and control valves
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with instrumentation and control systems, and implement effective solutions
  • Calibrate and configure instrumentation and control devices to ensure accurate and reliable measurements and control
  • Interpret schematics, manuals, and other technical documentation to support maintenance activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities and system performance
  • Comply with all relevant safety protocols and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

  • A recognised qualification in Instrumentation, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a vocational or technical course.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience as an Instrumentation and Control Technician, preferably in the power generation or mining industry
  • Proficient in the use of test equipment, such as multimeters, calibrators, and analysers
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
