About the role

Semcalaca Power Corporation is seeking a skilled and experienced Plant Operator (Boiler) to join our team in Calaca, Batangas. As a Plant Operator (Boiler), you will play a crucial role in the smooth and efficient operation of our power plant's boiler systems. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to contribute to the company's mission of providing reliable and sustainable energy solutions.

What you'll be doing

1. Operate and monitor boiler equipment, including combustion, steam generation, and feed water systems
2. Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on boiler components
3. Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the boiler, adhering to all relevant safety protocols and environmental regulations.
4. Collaborate with the wider plant operations team to optimize plant performance and minimize downtime
5. Maintain detailed records and logs of boiler operations, performance, and any issues or repairs
6. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance boiler efficiency and reliability

What we're looking for

• We require a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Plant Operator (Boiler) or in a similar role within the mining, resources, or energy and power plant industry.
• Strong technical understanding of boiler systems, including combustion, steam generation, and feed water systems
• Ability to interpret and apply plant operating manuals, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve operational issues
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and reporting
• The candidate must be willing to work shifts, including nights and weekends, to ensure that plant operations run continuously around the clock.
• Relevant vocational or technical qualifications, such as a Boiler Operator's License, would be highly desirable.
• The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably mechanical or electrical engineering. Additionally, relevant work experience in the industry will be considered a strong asset. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are also essential for success in this role.
• Must be a registered engineer or a certified plant mechanic or a registered master electrician
