Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to manage both the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, payments, and collections.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate and send out invoices to customers.
  • Monitor customer accounts for non-payment and delayed payments.
  • Follow up on outstanding invoices and ensure timely collection of payments.
  • Record donations from donors and issue relevant receipts.
  • Engage with donors on their receipts and adjustments where needed.
  • Reconcile donor receipts to internal reporting systems and bank transactions.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Process and record invoices as part of the accounts payable and procurement process.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
  • Monitor and manage the accounts payable ledger.
  • Resolve discrepancies related to accounts payable.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the accounting or finance department.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
