Job Responsibilities
Civil-Construction Project Coordinator

The project coordinator will plan, organize, and direct the activities of a construction project under the direction of a project manager. This role involves working off-site for most of the time managing day-to-day responsibilities of the project.

  1. The project coordinator will prepare contracts and negotiate changes with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  2. Develop and implement quality control programs.
  3. Prepare progress reports for clients.
  • Manage the purchase of building materials and land acquisitions.
  • Collaborate with different departments, subcontractors, staff, and department heads.
Requirements
Education
  • College or University degree in relevant fields such as Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Drafting, Electrical Engineering, or Estimation.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Strong project administration and management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Deep knowledge of construction systems, materials, building codes, and regulations.
  • Experience with industry-specific software such as scheduling and estimating tools.
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and email.
  • Good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
