Job Description
Civil-Construction Project Coordinator

For Telecom Construction project coordinators: plan, organize, and direct the activities of a construction project.

  1. Construction project coordinators plan, organize, and direct the activities of a construction project, under the direction of a Project Manager.
  2. Work off-site for most of the time, managing the day-to-day responsibilities of the project.
  3. Work within construction departments, with deep knowledge and experience in materials, concrete, asphalt, and reinstatement construction.
  4. Generally, construction project coordinators:
  • Prepare contracts and negotiate changes with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Develop and implement quality control programs.
  • Prepare progress reports for clients.
Manage the purchase of building materials and land acquisitions.Collaborate with different departments, subcontractors, staff, and department heads.Qualifications
Education
  • College or University degree in relevant fields such as Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Drafting, Electrical Engineering, or Estimation.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Strong project administration and management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Deep knowledge of construction systems, materials, building codes, and regulations.
  • Experience with industry-specific software such as scheduling and estimating tools.
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and email.
  • Good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
