Job Opportunity for Solar Project Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Solar Project Engineer to join our team.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative electrical design solutions for solar projects. This role will support all phases from planning to construction, ensuring compliance with technical standards and schedules.

The key responsibilities of this position include managing multiple project deliverables, translating complex concepts into clear designs, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

  • Attend technical and project-related meetings as assigned
  • Coordinate with all departments involved in the project
  • Develop project schedules according to approved plans and contracts
  • Ensure projects are executed according to approved timelines, budgets, safety, and technical standards
  • Manage contractor engagements during the implementation phase
  • Manage manpower and contractor work progress and performance
  • Develop and execute plans for quality construction implementation and audit
  • Develop plans, specifications, and observation reports that are complete, accurate, and in accordance with sound utility-scale solar engineering practices
  • Check design computations performed by EPC design teams when necessary
  • Resolving technical challenges that may include performing field investigations or observations, and resolving discrepancies between multiple sources of information
  • Work closely with and provide guidance to Consultant EPC engineering teams and design engineers
  • Recommend alterations to development criteria and design features to improve quality
  • Support other units within the organization during the start-up and commissioning of solar power plants
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
  • A licensed Electrical Engineer with at least 3 years of experience working in the field as a Project Engineer for solar projects is required. Experience in horizontal construction/solar projects supervision is also required
  • Knowledgeable in the monitoring, installation, testing, and operation of solar PV systems
