The Compensation and Benefits Lead is responsible for spearheading compensation strategy, benefits programs, and payroll interface processes.
This includes salary benchmarking, total compensation analysis, benefits enrollment and renewal oversight, ensuring compliance with wage laws and benefits-related regulations.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing, implementing, and managing compensation strategies, salary scales, and incentive structures.
- Overseeing benefits enrollment, renewals, and eligibility tracking (health, dental, vision, disability, retirement, etc.).
- Maintaining compliance with FLSA, ACA, ERISA, and wage transparency laws.
- Conducting market analysis and salary benchmarking to ensure competitive and equitable pay structures.
- Maintaining updated position salary bands and coordinating compensation adjustments for new hires, promotions, or policy changes.
- Overseeing employee communications and engagement related to benefit programs.
- Coordinating with HRIS and payroll teams to ensure accurate pay setup and deductions.
This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex processes.
A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required. A master's degree or certification in compensation or benefits administration is preferred.
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in compensation, benefits administration, or payroll operations is necessary. Prior experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or multi-site organizations is highly desirable.
Candidates should possess advanced understanding of compensation and benefits principles, practices, and regulations.
A successful candidate will have proficiency with HRIS, payroll, and benefits administration systems, as well as discretion, integrity, and attention to confidentiality in handling sensitive employee data.
