Billing Operations Expertise

We seek an experienced Billing Operations Specialist to manage the entire billing lifecycle from setup to revenue tracking.

  • Manage subscription workflows in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Process disputes and prepare evidence packets for resolution.
  • Implement efficient AR processes and optimize collections outreach.

This role is ideal for professionals with expertise in subscription-based billing environments and hands-on experience with Stripe Subscriptions, HubSpot, and Excel/Google Sheets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Subscription Lifecycle Management: new setups, plan changes, proration, cancellations, reconciliations, and revenue tracking.
  • Dispute Representation: preparing and submitting evidence packets to banks/card networks for resolution.
  • Billing Workflows: managing automation of tickets and cross-team communication in HubSpot.
  • Month-End Close: AR aging reports, reconciliations, and cash collection forecasting.
  • Delinquency Investigation: analyzing root cause, adjusting accounts, and handling outbound collections calls/emails when necessary.
  • Collaboration: partnering with Sales & Customer Success to ensure accurate subscription data.
  • Process Improvement: identifying and implementing process enhancements to make AR more efficient and scalable.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on billing and accounts receivable experience in a SaaS or subscription business.
  • Proven expertise with Stripe Subscriptions (not just invoice/payment processing).
  • Direct experience preparing and submitting dispute representation evidence to banks/payment processors.
  • Strong knowledge of HubSpot for AR/billing workflows.
  • Familiarity with collections outreach (calls + email), with a focus on solving process and data issues behind delinquency.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills for reconciliations, AR aging, and reporting.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable owning critical AR processes in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus Points:
  • Prior exposure to US-based SaaS subscription billing.
  • Track record of building or optimizing dunning workflows.
