Job Summary:

  • We are seeking an experienced Executive Pastry Chef to join our team at the prestigious Crimson Resort & Spa, Mactan.
  • Under the direct supervision of the Executive Chef, this position is responsible for leading the pastry team in creating exceptional desserts and pastries that exceed customer expectations.

About the Role:

  • This role involves overseeing the preparation and presentation of high-quality cakes, pies, and other desserts, as well as maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, controlling costs, and minimizing waste.
  • They will also lead by example, promoting a positive work environment and encouraging employees to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the pastry team in preparing and presenting high-quality desserts and pastries.
  2. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  3. Manage inventory and control costs, minimizing waste and ensuring efficient use of resources.
  4. Develop and implement strategies to improve employee satisfaction and retention.
  5. Select, orient, and train qualified employees to ensure seamless team operations.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

Salary Estimate: PHP 120,000 - 180,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience).
