Job Description
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and post day-to-day journal entries for various transactions, including accruals and adjustments.
  • Maintain and update the general ledger to ensure its accuracy.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations.
  • Assist the Financial Planning and Analysis team with granular and financial statement inquiries.
  • Draft and send invoices to clients and/or draft bills received from vendors.
  • Consolidate and send documents (invoices/payment proof/bank statement).
  • Support the integration of systems, processes, and reporting structures.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in accountancy or a related field is required.
  • Certified public accountant (CPA) certification and US generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) familiarity are highly desirable.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience as an accounting professional, preferably in external and/or internal audit or an accounting firm.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets is essential.
  • Familiarity with all Microsoft Office applications and the Google Workspace is also required.
  • The ability to comprehend legal agreements between parties is crucial.
  • Experience in using accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, and Zoho is preferred.
  • The ability to reconcile external documentation and company records to ensure that transactions match and resolve discrepancies, if any, is vital.
  • The ability to make adjustments as needed, including accruals, prepayments, and depreciation entries.
  • Experience in intercompany reconciliation is beneficial.
  • The ability to comprehend essential financial statements, such as the profit and loss statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows.
