We are seeking a seasoned commercial banking leader to join our team and take on the challenges of driving business growth.

This leadership role offers a unique opportunity for professional development, where you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive center profitability and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • At least 10 years leadership experience in commercial banking
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis and forecasting techniques
  • In-depth knowledge of banking regulations
  • Proficient in analyzing market trends and economic indicators
  • Skilled in assessing credit worthiness and managing diverse clients
  • Expertise in identifying growth opportunities, client acquisition, negotiation, and expanding wallet share
  • Proactive and results-driven approach with excellent communication skills

Key responsibilities include:

  • Attaining the center's profitability targets
  • Exercising control over the center's activities to minimize risks (risk management)
  • Maintaining the quality of the portfolio, and
  • Ensuring good account servicing/client's satisfaction (relationship management)

As a leader in commercial banking, you will be responsible for managing the overall quality and profitability of the loan portfolio as well as other collateral business. You will establish long-term objectives and formulate business strategies and marketing plans. You will administer, plan, and control the center, presenting loan and credit approval memoranda to the executive committee. You will provide account officers with volume and income targets and business development objectives, conducting regular client calls and plant visits to establish and maintain good working relationships with accounts.

Additionally, you will review all credit and loan proposals to ensure proper packaging and risk assessment. You will ensure compliance of all documentation requirements relative to loan/credit approval. You will approve commercial credit and trade credit transactions within prescribed levels of authority. You will represent the bank in syndicate meetings, creditors' meeting, steering committee meetings, and the like. You will provide technical support and advice to account officers, preparing annual financial budget of the center.

The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions. A bachelor's degree from a reputable institution is required, preferably in a field related to marketing or business.

Business acumen and industry knowledge are essential for success in this role. The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders is crucial. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
