The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, improvements and enhancements of clinical nursing services within a care home to ensure safe, high-quality, efficient and cost-effective care is delivered to residents and their families.

  • Coordinate teamwork in total resident care with the care staff, delivering quality service to residents, relatives and visitors.">
  • Identify needs for improvement in service delivery and standards of care by maintaining direct contact and involvement in residents' care.">
  • Develop and support team building among care staff during daily operations, ensuring effective and cooperative working relationships.">
  • Evaluate and maintain service standards by conducting regular meetings, team discussions, clinical training, guidance, orientation, re-organization in nursing functions and work processes, policies and procedures.">
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills to resolve issues/conflicts among care staff, residents or their family members. Ensure effective and efficient management of staff resources, equipment and materials related to resident care and the home.">
  • Interpret policies, procedures, objectives and standards to motivate staff to perform optimally in daily operations.">
  • Maintain direct resident contact to identify needs for service improvement and uphold standards of care.

  • Coordinate, manage and evaluate the home's services to ensure high standards of nursing care and resident safety are maintained at all times, in accordance with legal, professional and care home requirements.">
  • Participate as a member of the healthcare team by attending relevant ward rounds, meetings and team conferences, and engaging in discussions on resident-related issues.">
  • Maintain self-development through continuing education.

  • Attend meet-ups with stakeholders to ensure the quality, standards and guidelines of the care home are maintained and enhanced.">
  • Collaborate with the Nurse Educator to identify staff training needs.">
  • Work with students and undergraduates on projects and experiential learning in care settings.

  • Assess and coordinate residents' admission referrals and discharges from hospitalization.">
  • Oversee staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage for quality nursing care.">
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures and standards of practice.">
  • Supervise, evaluate and discipline staff performance within scope of responsibility.">
  • Assess educational and appraisal needs of employees in collaboration with senior staff members.
