Senior Solution Area Specialist, Cloud and AIAs a Solution Area Specialist for the Cloud and AI Platform solutions area, you will work with Japan Global Accounts in the APAC region, focusing on Financial/Banking/Manufacturing and Automotive institutions.
The Solution Area Specialist is a trusted advisor who leads the design and execution of the customer's commercial strategy and negotiation, selling the right commercial solution at the right time while ensuring compliance and profitability for Microsoft. You will be responsible for revenue growth, deal making, and developing trusted relationships with key stakeholders and peers. As a sales and negotiation professional, you are unafraid of conflict, with a positive attitude and a passion for working with customers and partners. You will communicate effectively at all organizational levels, from senior leaders to procurement teams, making strategic choices based on customer needs. You will analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. A deep understanding of Microsoft Support, licensing programs, and contracting is beneficial but not required.

QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Information Security, or related field AND 6+ years of experience in technology-related sales or account management OR equivalent experience.
6+ years selling cloud-based solutions.
6+ years selling to large enterprise global accounts.
Experience in negotiations and deal making.
Experience with App innovation, Data & AI, and/or Infrastructure technical skills.
Preferred qualifications
Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Information Technology, Information Security, or related field AND 8+ years of experience in technology sales OR Bachelor's Degree with 12+ years of experience OR equivalent experience.
6+ years solution or services sales experience.
Experience with Financial/Banking, Manufacturing, Automotive customers.
ResponsibilitiesLead sales strategies tailored to customer security priorities, emphasizing secure, AI-powered transformation and fostering long-term partnerships through AI-driven insights. Lead partner teams, activate co-selling strategies, and foster lasting relationships to drive partner attach and customer value.
Assess and qualify sales opportunities, ensuring alignment with AI-enhanced sales methodologies. Develop strategies for closing complex, high-value opportunities. Collaborate across organizations to ensure seamless deal lifecycle management and mitigate risks.
Analyze business and emerging opportunities to enhance customer portfolios and drive innovation using technology like AI sales agents, automation, and Power Platforms. Use data analytics to refine sales strategies and optimize partner engagement for seamless handoffs and customer success.
Lead sales pipeline reviews with senior stakeholders to improve forecasting accuracy using AI-powered analytics. Coach teams to maintain pipeline hygiene and monitor adoption trends, driving expansion and healthier renewals.
Sales Strategy
Engage with senior decision-makers to identify and accelerate high-value sales opportunities. Partner with internal teams to align AI transformation with business goals, ensuring security principles are integrated to maintain trust and compliance.
Leverage market intelligence tools for whitespace analysis and market gap identification. Use insights to inform strategy, adapt to trends, and proactively address market gaps.
Align sales strategies with customer priorities, incorporating AI-driven predictive analytics for future needs. Drive cross-functional solutions and market engagement strategies that support digital transformation and customer success.
Build partnerships across the organization to develop AI and cloud solutions that differentiate Microsoft. Act as a trusted advisor, promoting technology adoption aligned with customer strategic goals.
