Remote Rent Collection Specialist

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Remote Rent Collection Specialist.

  • Rent Collection: Initiate and follow up on rent payment reminders, ensuring tenants are aware of their payment due dates.
  • Communication: Engage with tenants via phone, email, or messaging platforms to discuss payment issues, establish payment plans, and provide assistance when needed.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all rent payments, payment plans, and communication logs in our property management system.
  • Dispute Resolution: Work collaboratively with tenants to resolve any disputes or questions related to their rent payments or leases.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to management regarding outstanding payments, collection efforts, and tenant interactions.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience in rent collection, property management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with a focus on customer service are required.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple accounts effectively, are essential.
  • Proficiency in property management software or databases is a plus.
  • Maintaining professionalism and empathy when dealing with tenants is crucial.
  • Knowledge of rental laws and regulations in the applicable market is necessary.
