Overview

Analyst, Commercial SBC at Onity Group Inc.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Portfolio Manager to monitor all delinquent commercial loans and pursue a course of action to resolve the delinquency.
  • Provide quality collection and property surveillance activities for commercial real estate loans as part of a team serving as the primary contact for borrower research requests and collection efforts.
  • Perform customer service activities, including outbound calls with borrowers and third-party representatives (bilingual English/Spanish where applicable).
  • Perform inbound and outbound customer service calls, maintain service levels and call center performance metrics, and manage schedule adherence and attendance.
  • Support Portfolio Manager in surveillance activities to include tax, insurance, escrow analysis, and suspense clearance.
  • Obtain required documentation for borrower special requests (e.g., assumptions, easements, partial releases) and prepare detailed recommendations for review and approval by the Portfolio Manager.
  • Identify and escalate significant property issues; collect and analyze property operating statements and rent rolls as part of Watchlist monitoring and collateral review.
  • Coordinate with internal departments for portfolio management and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in the mortgage industry are required.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude, contributes to team morale, and is eager to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Open to college undergraduates with 6 months of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) experience in collections is preferable.
Work Schedule and Travel
  • Call center hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 9:00 pm local time. Shifts fall within these hours. Hybrid work from home model; may be required to work in the office according to business needs.
