Environmental Sustainability Engineer Role

This role focuses on integrating environmental sustainability principles into engineering practices, ensuring projects are environmentally responsible and meet international standards.

  • Develop and implement sustainable solutions for various energy and thermal modelling assignments using software such as IES VE.
  • Assist in supporting certification processes for environmental management systems.
  • Support the preparation and coordination of bid documents related to sustainability initiatives.
  • Communicate with project teams through information gathering and issuing RFI's.
  • Collaborate with other engineers to confirm information and strategy and assess asset performance.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Provide technical support to project teams.

For this role, you will need to possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Management, Sustainability Management, or a related field. Relevant experience in sustainability consulting and/or building services engineering design is also required.

  • Excellent understanding of environmental sustainability principles.
  • Proficiency in using energy modelling software.
  • Knowledge of international environmental certifications (BREEAM/LEED/NABERS/WELL).
  • Basic knowledge of Building Services design and engineering terms.
  • Strong report writing skills and proof-reading skills.
