Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Professional

We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill this critical role. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in occupational health, safety and environmental practices within the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations on offshore projects by monitoring and enforcing procedures for both on-site and offshore operations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure safe working conditions, identifying risks and hazards and proposing mitigation measures.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams to promote a health, safety and environmental culture, assisting in emergency response planning and drills.
  • Prepare and submit reports on health, safety and environmental performance and incidents, collaborating with management to ensure continuous improvement of health, safety and environmental processes.
  • Organize and conduct training sessions for team members, ensuring they understand and adhere to health, safety and environmental regulations and standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum NEBOSH IGC (International General Certificate) or equivalent qualification.
  • Additional health, safety and environmental certifications are advantageous.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in health, safety and environmental roles within the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
  • At least 2 years of offshore brownfield experience is required.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations, standards and industry best practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to assess risks and implement effective control measures.
  • Proficient in health, safety and environmental reporting and documentation, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
