Accounting Operations Manager Job Overview

This role is responsible for managing the accounting operations function, ensuring accurate and timely completion of activities. The Accounting Operations Manager will coordinate with business units, divisions, and accounting teams to align on month-end requirements and deadlines.

The position involves preparing financial statements and reports, including management reports and group reporting packages (balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statements with supporting schedules). Additionally, it includes conducting variance analysis of revenues and expenses versus budget and prior periods.

Key responsibilities include recording recurring and standard journal entries in accordance with GAAP and company policies, overseeing budget uploads to the ERP system, and reconciling discrepancies between budget files and system records by cost center.

The Accounting Operations Manager will also perform monthly reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts and resolve reconciling items promptly. Preparation of tax and PEZA schedules for monthly, quarterly, and annual filings, as well as reconciliation with the general ledger, is another key responsibility.

Maintenance of ERP data, including financial report templates, cost centers, chart of accounts, tax types, and FX rates based on established procedures, is crucial. This role will also support internal and external audits, as well as compliance reviews.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy.
  • Preferably CPA- Certified Public Accountant.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of relevant working experience in financial reporting and generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Skills and Attributes:
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
    • Solid understanding of accounting and tax principles.
    • Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
