Senior Information Security Specialist Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Information Security Specialist to safeguard our digital assets and information against cyber threats and attacks.

Your expertise will be pivotal in assessing security risks, developing and implementing effective security measures, and maintaining a vigilant stance against potential breaches to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cybersecurity Threat Analysis and Monitoring: Identify and analyze potential security threats by monitoring system logs, network traffic, and security tools; stay updated on emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Incident Response Management: Respond swiftly to security incidents, investigate breaches, and provide timely resolutions. Develop incident-response plans and collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate and recover from reported security breaches.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems and applications; develop strategies for remediating vulnerabilities and minimizing potential risks.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; college-level education with related coursework in information technology and computer science, with 1 year minimum experience.
  • Fundamental log analysis and troubleshooting skills; strong understanding of networking protocols and operating systems; able to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to evolving cyber threats.
  • Excellent communication skills – able to convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Technical certifications in relevant areas advantageous (e.g., CompTIA Security+, LINUX+).
  • At least 50 Mbps internet connection required for good working performance.
