About the Role

This position involves overseeing complex invoice processing, maintaining vendor relationships, and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Invoice Management: Process and manage a high volume of invoices, ensuring accurate coding and approval in accordance with company policies.
  2. Vendor Verification: Review and verify vendor invoices against contracts and receipts to ensure accuracy and compliance
  3. Dispute Resolution: Handle complex invoice discrepancies and vendor payment issues, working directly with vendors and internal departments to resolve.
  4. Payment Coordination: Assist in the preparation of payment runs, ensuring all payments are processed on time and in line with vendor agreements.
  5. Vendor Information: Maintain and update vendor information, ensuring accuracy of records in the accounts payable system.
  6. Closing Processes: Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of accruals, journal entries, and reconciliations for accounts payable.
  7. Tax Compliance: Ensure VAT, WHT, and income tax compliance in line with local regulations.
  8. Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and implementation of AP policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy within the department.
  9. Mentorship: Provide training and mentorship to junior accounts payable staff, ensuring they understand and adhere to AP processes and best practices.
  10. Audit Support: Review and reconcile vendor statements, following up on outstanding issues to ensure timely resolution.
