Global Accounting Manager Role

The role of a Global Accounting Manager involves leading the general ledger accounting team, overseeing financial close processes, and collaborating with senior management on cash burn reporting. Key responsibilities include coordinating with AP teams regarding accounting transactions, working with logistics teams on inventory accounts, and managing WFOE China operations.

About the Position
  • This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to global general ledger accounting.
  • A key member of the Global Controller's team will be responsible for performing account flux analyses, preparing and reviewing journal entries, and balance sheet/income statement.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the financial close process for corporate and international entities
  2. Oversee GL team performance and collaborate with senior management on cash burn reporting
  3. Coordinate with AP team regarding accounting transactions
  4. Work with Logistic team regarding inventory accounts and shipments
  5. Manage WFOE China including invoicing and billing accounts and intercompany accounts
  6. Calculate and report revenue based on Cost Plus agreement for international entities
  7. Manage fixed assets, prepaid accounts, payroll and benefits, accrued income taxes and other liabilities
  8. Prepare record and reconcile long-term debt accounts such as notes payable deferred financing fees and accrued interest
  9. Perform intercompany elimination allocations and consolidations
  10. Manage and report on all cash accounts consolidated financial statements
  11. Draft policies and procedures document accounting principles and provide procedural recommendations
  12. Strengthen control environments implement process improvements and manage third-party firms for international and tax compliance
  13. Play a key role in annual financial audits including external audits tax provisions and sales tax audits
