Virtual Mental Health Coder

We are seeking a skilled Virtual Mental Health Coder/Biller to join our team. As a key member of our revenue cycle management team, you will be responsible for accurately coding medical diagnoses and procedures for a psychiatry practice.
Responsibilities:- Coding: Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes to patient diagnoses and procedures based on clinical documentation within electronic health records (EHR).
- Coding Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines, regulations, and payer requirements; ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Billing and Revenue Cycle: Work closely with billing staff to resolve coding-related claim denials and rejections; assist in the development and implementation of coding policies and procedures.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in medical coding, preferably in a psychiatry or mental health setting.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Familiarity with EHR and medical billing software.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Charm EHR.
- Knowledge of common mental health medications.
