Compensation and Benefits Specialist (Entry-Level)

The ideal candidate will administer various employee benefit programs, act as liaison officer to government agencies, submit reports, ensure compliance with labor and benefit mandates, facilitate filing of claims, resolve conflicts, prepare requests or advances for employee SSS benefits, secure and verify government numbers, process payments, and coordinate with messengers for payments in government institutions and/or banks.

The Compensation and Benefits Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our human resources department. This individual will be responsible for administering different employee benefit programs, acting as liaison officer to government agencies, submitting reports, ensuring compliance with labor and benefit mandates, facilitating filing of claims, resolving conflicts, preparing requests or advances for employee SSS benefits, securing and verifying government numbers, processing payments, and coordinating with messengers for payments in government institutions and/or banks.

Responsibilities include:

  • Administering different employee benefit programs
  • Acting as liaison officer to government agencies (SSS, PhilHealth, BIR, HDMF)
  • Submitting reports to update or declare new employees and separated employees to SSS/PhilHealth/HDMF for policy coverage using print form or electronic transaction form
  • Ensuring compliance with all labor and benefit mandates and staying current on regulatory changes relating to HR and payroll processes
  • Facilitating filing of claims to SSS/EC/PhilHealth/HDMF via online system or manual transactions to government offices
  • Resolving conflicts with benefit providers (i.e., government agencies) for the purpose of validating enrollment eligibility and processing claims
  • Preparing requests or advances for employee SSS benefits and filing reimbursement claims to SSS (SSS sickness and SSS maternity)
  • Securing and verifying government numbers such as SSS, HDMF, TIN, and PhilHealth for newly hired employees
  • Processing payments for statutory contributions and loans
  • Coordinating with messengers for payments in government institutions and/or banks
  • Providing assistance for other PS services as required from time to time (e.g., final pay processing)
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • At least a Bachelor's/College Degree related to Human Resources
  • At least 1 year of working experience in the related field
  • Background in Compensation & Benefits and Payroll is a plus
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to maintain good working habits to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail

This position requires strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and have a passion for delivering exceptional results.
