Healthcare Coordinator Role

Job Overview: We seek a detail-oriented and organized individual to assist with patient intake, administrative support, and healthcare coordination in a dynamic remote environment.


Responsibilities:
  • Patient Intake Management: Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information for seamless appointment scheduling.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate appointments with healthcare providers and ensure timely communication with patients.
  • Medical Record Handling: Accurately manage and update patient records in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
  • Insurance Verification: Verify coverage and eligibility for medical procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Patient Communication: Deliver exceptional customer service via phone and email, responding to inquiries in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Pre-Appointment Preparation: Gather essential medical history and documentation prior to consultations.
  • Coordination with Healthcare Providers: Facilitate effective communication between patients, providers, and insurance representatives.
  • HIPAA Compliance: Maintain confidentiality and adhere to stringent healthcare privacy regulations.
  • Administrative Support: Provide assistance with medical billing, claims processing, and other administrative tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications & Skills:
  • Experience in medical administrative support or patient intake coordination.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain sensitive patient information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Background in medical billing and insurance verification is advantageous.
