Job Summary:

The Pricing Specialist is responsible for preparing competitive and accurate quotations, in line with client requirements and company pricing strategies. This role involves close coordination with carriers, agents, and internal departments to ensure timely responses and cost-effective solutions that support sales growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit accurate rate quotations.
  • Analyze customer requirements and determine the most cost-effective shipping solutions.
  • Ensure quotations comply with company margin guidelines and market competitiveness.
  • Liaise and negotiate rates with shipping lines, airlines, trucking providers, and overseas agents.
  • Monitor and update carrier rates to maintain up-to-date pricing databases.
  • Track and analyze market trends, competitor rates, and seasonal rate fluctuations.
  • Recommend pricing adjustments to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to understand client needs and tailor proposals.
  • Communicate rate validity, surcharges, and terms clearly to clients and internal teams.
  • Maintain pricing records, rate sheets, and carrier agreements.
  • Generate pricing-related reports and provide data analysis for management decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in freight forwarding pricing, sales support, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of freight forwarding operations
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other data management tools.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
