Job Title

We are seeking an individual to fill a critical role in medical documentation, supporting eye care specialists during patient consultations. The position involves real-time transcription of interactions with ophthalmologists and optometrists, optimizing clinical workflow, and maintaining accurate medical records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Document patient encounters virtually or in-person, transcribing interactions with medical professionals.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to input notes, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Manage and organize large volumes of medical files securely on personal computers.
  • Flag and clarify inconsistencies in visual exam documentation and diagnostic data.
  • Maintain templates for eye exams, surgical consultations, and follow-ups.
  • Assist healthcare providers by streamlining administrative duties.
Technical Requirements:
  • A Windows-operated PC (Windows 10 or above) is required for handling large datasets and medical records.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, OneNote) is necessary for documentation and file tracking.
  • The ability to navigate EHR platforms (e.g., Compulink, RevolutionEHR, or similar eye-care systems) is essential.
  • Secure internet connectivity is required for remote sessions if applicable.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Familiarity with ophthalmologic terminology is necessary.
  • Excellent typing speed and attention to detail are crucial for success.
  • Prior experience in a scribe or medical transcription role is highly valued.
  • The ability to work discreetly and maintain patient confidentiality is essential.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
