Clinical Engagement Specialist

This role entails conceiving, executing, and overseeing doctor outreach initiatives for clinical trial site activation.

  • Utilize tools like ChatGPT, Google, NPI Registry, Definitive, etc. to research and filter doctors.
  • Employ clinical judgment and U.S. standard of care research to identify suitable specialists and exclude poor fits.
  • Create targeting frameworks using CPT, ICD-10, and claims logic.
  • Develop SOPs and research playbooks to standardize repeatable outreach.
  • Compose and refine outreach emails that drive replies.
  • Oversee outreach coordinators — assign tasks, review quality, and provide coaching for improvement.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute doctor outreach campaigns.
  • Identify and develop precision-targeted lead lists.
  • Pursue outreach end-to-end.
  • Manage and mentor a support team.
  • Enhance execution systems.
  • Maintain high-quality and specialty-matched lists.
  • Standardize repeatable outreach through SOPs and research playbooks.
  • Triage replies and transfer to the PM or Medical Director.
  • Track outreach performance in Airtable or CRM.

You will work on impactful diagnostics trials, improve execution systems, and ensure outreach runs without direct founder involvement.

Requirements:

  • Experience conducting high-context outreach campaigns in healthcare, clinical research, or healthtech.
  • Understanding of how doctors function and how referrals occur.
  • Able to reverse-engineer who sees the right patients and filter them.
  • Systems-driven with experience building playbooks, workflows, and logic trees.
  • Capable of managing junior staff and extracting their best work.
  • Excellent written communication skills and able to craft persuasive outreach copy.
