Payroll Manager Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations for multiple companies. This role is responsible for accurate and timely weekly payroll processing for over 200 employees, including hourly technicians, salaried staff, and commissioned salespeople.
Key Responsibilities
- Weekly Payroll Processing
- Review and validate timesheets for approximately 150 hourly technicians across five companies.
- Process weekly payroll for ~50 salaried employees.
- Manage payroll for ~20 salespeople, including reconciling commission payouts against draws and sales performance.
- System Management & Employee Lifecycle
- Maintain and update employee records in a payroll system, including new hire onboarding and terminations.
- Adjust pay rates and compensation details as needed.
- Ensure PTO accruals are tracked and applied accurately.
- Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure payroll processes comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Operations to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate employee compensation records.
- Prepare payroll-related reports and audits as required.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in payroll processing, with at least 1 year in a lead or managerial role.
- Proficiency in payroll software.
- Solid understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and best practices.
- Strong reconciliation skills, particularly with commission-based compensation.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
