Job Title: Financial Controller

  • We are seeking a strategic financial leader to oversee the company's financial health.

This role will involve managing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have experience in agency environments (digital marketing, creative, or similar) and a strong background in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

  • Maintaining and reconciling QuickBooks Online (QBO) records to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Developing financial strategies to support business growth and improve profitability.
  • Managing cash flow, accounts payable/receivable, and expense tracking for the agency.
  • Handling payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate compensation for employees and contractors.
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Partnering with leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations for decision-making.
  • Ensuring tax compliance, including sales tax, payroll, and corporate filings.
  • Streamlining financial processes and implementing best practices for efficiency.
    • Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or similar role in a digital marketing agency or related industry.
    • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO)—must be comfortable managing financials within the platform.
    • Payroll management experience, including processing payroll, tax compliance, and benefits administration.
    • Solid understanding of GAAP, financial planning, and reporting principles.
    • Experience managing agency financials, project-based accounting, and revenue recognition.
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
    • Strong organizational and leadership skills with high attention to detail.
    • CPA or relevant financial certifications are a plus.
