Construction Accounting Specialist

The ideal candidate will possess strong bookkeeping experience, preferably in construction. They should have a solid understanding of construction accounting and job costing, with knowledge of estimating processes, bids, or take-offs being a valuable asset.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software.
- Perform job costing and track expenses by project.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, invoices, and vendor payments.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor statements.
- Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, cash flow, and balance sheets.
- Assist with estimating by reviewing plans, material take-offs, and subcontractor bids.
- Support project managers with budget tracking and cost-to-complete analysis.
- Manage payroll and ensure compliance with labor laws.
- Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Buildertrend).
- Strong Excel and data entry skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
