Accounting Professional - Construction Industry Focus

We seek a skilled accounting professional to manage financial transactions and provide expert support for our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, in accordance with industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions in accounting software, ensuring seamless reconciliation and reporting.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports for management review, highlighting key trends and insights.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial statements, aligning financial planning with business objectives.
  • Process payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations, minimizing risk and optimizing employee benefits.
  • Track invoices, expenses, and payments to ensure timely collections and disbursements, maintaining strong relationships with clients and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and construction industry regulations, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Coordinate with project managers to track costs and profitability for construction projects, driving informed decision-making and strategic growth.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, with a strong foundation in accounting principles and practices.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role, demonstrating expertise in financial management and analysis.
  • Familiarity with the construction industry and job costing is highly desirable, with a proven track record of delivering results in this area.
  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero, or other accounting software, with advanced skills in data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong English communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting, with a focus on quality and precision.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, adapting to changing priorities and demands.
