Senior Tax Accountant Position

This role involves providing expert tax compliance and advisory services, ensuring adherence to Australian tax regulations while delivering exceptional client service. As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will manage complex tax engagements, including individual, corporate, trust, partnership, and SMSF tax returns.

You will work closely with clients to understand their tax needs and develop effective strategies to minimize tax liabilities. Your expertise in tax planning and advisory services will be crucial in driving business growth and maintaining strong relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Client Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their tax needs and goals.
  • Team Support: Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, helping them develop their tax skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA or CA qualification is a plus but not required.
  • At least 4–7 years of experience in tax accounting within a public accounting firm.
  • Strong understanding of Australian tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
