Dental Claims Specialist Job Description

  • As a Dental Claims Specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service.
  • You will be responsible for managing and processing claims, resolving issues, and providing support while upholding quality and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow-up on outstanding insurance claims, ensuring all follow-ups are properly documented and communicated.
  • Send out claims and attachments to insurance companies.
  • Determine denial validity and address them accordingly.
  • Generate OI reports and ensure monthly completion.
  • Claim resubmission and reprocessing, including grievance and appeals.
  • Clear rejected claims on a weekly basis.
  • Update the office tracker with payments posted and address any rejected claims.
  • Complete all assigned follow-ups and generate EFT reports.
  • Retrieve EOBs from insurance portals and post 100% of payments.
  • Apply adjustments and work orders according to preference.
  • Identify insurance process updates/issues and communicate findings with the team.

Requirements:

  • A strong command of verbal and written English and interpersonal skills is required.
  • A background in the Dental insurance or collections industries is necessary.
  • At least three years of hands-on collections experience are required.
  • You must be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and follow-up skills are essential.
