This Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in building and deploying game-changing features that impact our customers' lives daily. From our trailblazing AI hiring tool to our fully automated payroll solution, every component of our system is designed to disrupt the employment industry positively.

Our Product and Engineering teams have delivered nearly 1,000 new features in the past year. As one of our Senior Engineers, you'll contribute significantly to our product strategy's continued acceleration.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading your squad in developing critical features for our customers. We primarily use Ruby, offering training to ensure you possess the necessary skills.
  • Collaborating closely with designers, product managers, and UX specialists to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Writing automated tests for your production codes.
  • Developing and maintaining key components of web applications.
  • Conducting testing and code reviews for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Mentoring Junior Engineers within your squad.
Who You Are

  • Proven experience as a highly skilled Software Development Engineer (typically 6+ years in Software Development).
  • A background in Server-side and RESTful API Development and integration.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (we'll provide training in Ruby when you join).
  • Experience implementing, maintaining, and deploying full-stack web technologies.
  • A strong understanding of best practices in software engineering processes, testing, and Agile methodology.
  • An adaptable approach to work and a willingness to put team members ahead of yourself.
  • Good verbal and written English skills.
  • A passion for learning, sharing knowledge, and mentoring teammates.
  • Openness to expanding your expertise into Frontend technologies and growing into a FullStack Engineer role, with our support.
