Job Title:

Medical File Reviewer/PHRN

  • A position is available for a detail-oriented Medical File Reviewer.
  • We are seeking a skilled professional to prepare case files and Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs).
  • You will review and bookmark medical records, creating a synopsis to answer medical opinion questions based on the veteran's medical history.
  • Remotely assist the medical provider during scheduled appointments by accessing and navigating different apps in the medical provider's computer, interviewing the veteran via video or telephone conference platform, transcribing medical history, and documenting physical examination findings.
  • Meet with medical providers to discuss assigned cases, determine final diagnosis per DBQ, and approve medical opinions.
  • Transfer data from DBQ spreadsheets to the client portal, submit DBQs, and answer queries/addendum reports from clients.
  • Coordinate with medical providers and team members regarding scheduled appointments.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
  • Active PHRN license.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in MS applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Work Environment:

  • This is a full-time position that requires flexibility in work schedule changes.
  • Fiber connection with at least 20mbps download and upload speed is necessary, along with backup internet and computer specifications meeting i5 to i7 processor and 8GB RAM requirements.
