Senior Financial Planning and Reporting Analyst Role

The role of Senior Financial Planning and Reporting Analyst is crucial in driving strategic decision-making, enhancing financial performance, and championing digital innovation within the finance organization.

As a key partner to finance leaders across major U.S. cities, you will influence critical business areas, drive operational excellence, and contribute to the development of impactful financial strategies.

  • Lead initiatives that focus on financial planning, business partnership, and process innovation to drive strategic decision-making and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Oversee financial reporting and analysis across critical business areas, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Manage monthly forecast and annual budget cycles, guaranteeing alignment with business strategies.
  • Summarize complex monthly and quarterly results into clear insights and actionable recommendations, informing key initiatives and driving business growth.
  • Develop comprehensive financial models, create 'what-if' scenarios, and perform risk analyses to inform strategic decisions.
  • Support scenario planning and long-term financial modeling efforts, ensuring data-driven recommendations for business stakeholders.
  • Participate in monthly financial close processes, including accruals, reclasses, variance analysis, and reporting.
  • Apply a digital-first approach to automate and streamline recurring FP&A processes, leveraging AI tools and data visualization platforms.

Requirements

To succeed as a Senior Financial Planning and Reporting Analyst, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, combined with significant experience in FP&A or financial analysis.

  • Strong expertise in P&L management, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with experience using Hyperion Financial Management, SmartView, and Oracle Planning EPM.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage non-financial stakeholders and convey complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage deliverables independently in a remote environment.
  • Experience with AI-based tools, process automation platforms, and data visualization software is highly desirable.
