Senior Financial Strategist

Seeking a Senior Financial Strategist to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive financial strategy across all business units. This role will be responsible for owning company-wide P&L, forecasting, budgeting, and runway management.

The ideal candidate will have experience in financial modeling, scenario planning, and risk assessment, with the ability to translate spreadsheets into actionable strategy. They will work closely with leadership to shape monetization, pricing, and profitability strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Finance & Revenue Operations: Develop and implement financial models, forecasts, and budgets to drive business growth.
  • Lead quarterly planning and revenue target-setting for each channel and product line.
  • Drive scenario modeling and ROI assessments on new projects, channel launches, product experiments, or talent partnerships.
  • Business Opportunity Screening: Partner with leadership to evaluate new business proposals, assessing risks and opportunity costs.
  • Run diligence and surface critical insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Efficiency, Tooling & Systems: Drive automation and implement tools and workflows to reduce manual overhead for Finance and the wider team.
  • Build out reporting infrastructure to provide clear, real-time insights across the company.
  • Team Leadership & Collaboration: Manage and develop the Finance Manager and Bookkeeper, ensuring high performance, clarity of roles, and growth.
  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership, creative producers, and operations leads – becoming a trusted thought partner in strategic decisions.
Requirements:
  • Financial operator with over 7 years of experience, ideally within startups, media, or consumer brands.
  • Skilled at financial modeling, scenario planning, and risk assessment, with the ability to translate spreadsheets into actionable strategy.
