Job Title

DIRECTOR OF GENDER EQUALITY

We are seeking a Director of Gender Equality to lead our efforts in promoting gender equality and empowering women in the region. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strategies to advance gender equality, collaborating with stakeholders, providing technical assistance, conducting research, and representing the organization in international forums.

  • Develop and implement effective strategies to promote gender equality and empower women.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to design and deliver programs that address gender-based disparities.
  • Provide technical assistance to governments and other partners to strengthen their capacity on gender equality.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to inform policy and program decisions on gender equality.
  • Represent the organization in international forums and meetings related to gender equality.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A Master's degree in Gender Studies or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in gender equality and women's empowerment, preferably in an international development context.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in team management and strategic planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to conduct research and analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to represent the organization in international forums.
