Job Opportunity: Lead Gender Equality Initiatives

Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for spearheading the bank's efforts to promote gender equality and women's empowerment across all aspects of the organization.

This includes developing and implementing strategies to increase diversity and inclusion, as well as providing technical assistance to countries in the region to support their gender equality initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of gender equality issues, as well as experience in leadership and program management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. ">
  2. Develop and implement strategies to promote gender equality and women's empowerment">
  3. Provide technical assistance to countries in the region to support their gender equality initiatives">
  4. Lead and manage a team of professionals working on gender equality and women's empowerment">
  5. Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure that gender equality is integrated into all aspects of the organization">
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including governments, civil society organizations, and private sector entities">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Masters degree or higher in a relevant field, such as gender studies, sociology, or international development">
  • At least 10 years of experience in a related field, including experience in leadership and program management">
  • Strong understanding of gender equality issues and experience in developing and implementing strategies to promote gender equality">
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders">

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a multilateral development bank or international organization">
  • Knowledge of regional and global gender equality initiatives and policies">
  • Fluency in English and at least one other language, including Arabic, Chinese, French, Japanese, Portuguese, or Spanish">
